Project iNSPIRE: Teachers

Research shows that teachers are the most significant factor affecting student achievement.  But the lack of support and resources that challenges teachers on a daily basis affects their ability to teach effectively.

iPRAXIS is here to help our partner teachers “supersize” their teaching by giving them the support they need to expand their classrooms into the labs, zoos, and research institutions throughout the city and the region.

We collaborate with teachers to develop creative projects and learning activities that focus on making science relevant to daily life…and making science class the one students look forward to each day.

Quality professional development for teachers virtually always leads to improved student performance.  To keep teachers up-to-date on the latest scientific discoveries and techniques, iPRAXIS develops seminars on the newest advancements in science and technology.

Project iNSPIRE Scienteers can also serve as an extra pair of hands, working directly with students on special projects such as science fair experiments.

And because iPRAXIS has the approval of the School District of Philadelphia, teachers can rest assured that our curriculum complements district-wide standards…and we can work with teachers to get Act 48 credit for our professional development seminars.
