SPARK
SPARK gets students who already have a propensity for science plugged into exciting new science experiences. Students experience hands-on activities both in and out of school in biotechnology, engineering/robotics, and zoo habitats with other young scientists like themselves.
The program is open to 4th-8th grade students recommended by their teachers at Alexander Wilson, Lea School, Penn Alexander, Bryant, Folk Arts - Cultural Treasures Charter School (FACTS), and Mariana Bracetti Academy Charter School.
Funded by the National Science Foundation, SPARK is a partnership between iPRAXIS, University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education, the School District of Philadelphia, and the Philadelphia Zoo.
